Buchanan's whisky has a rich history dating back to 1884, when James Buchanan, a Scottish businessman, founded his whisky company in London. Buchanan was a master blender who wanted to create a smooth, accessible whisky for the English market, and he quickly gained a reputation for quality. One of his earliest blends, Buchanan’s Blend, became so popular that it was chosen as the official whisky supplier for the House of Commons in 1898, a connection that inspired the Black & White label, featuring the iconic black and white dogs we have for sale.
Scottish Terriers or ‘Scottie Dogs’ are small, sturdy dogs originally bred in Scotland. They’re known for their distinctive appearance, short legs, a compact body and a wiry coat that comes in black, brindle, or wheaten colors. The Marly Horses are two 1743–1745 Carrara marble sculpted groups by Guillaume Coustou, showing two rearing horses with their groom.
