For sale, an antique hardwood cigarette storage box and dispenser. It works by being loaded with cigarettes (or short pencils), then as you lift the sides slightly, a cigarette is dispensed by rolling onto the fixed central groove. As you slide the sides back down, the cigarette pops up through the slot in the lid. Evocative piece of tobacciana from the early part of the 20th century. Tobacciana refers to collectible items related to tobacco and smoking, often prized for their craftsmanship, historical significance or nostalgic value. It’s a popular area for collectors, especially in the antiques world. A nostalgic or practical piece of desktop smoking memorabilia. Interesting item or curio for the mancave.

A wonderful vintage bentwood dry grain storage cannister with original lid. Handcrafted from bentwood, likely elm, this measure features original steel reinforcement bands that have stood the test of time. This historic piece is clearly stamped by the Weights and Measures authority with the ER crown insignia and the number 523 LCC, signifying its official use in London. The bottom of the measure is also stamped internally, adding to its authenticity and collectible value. Handcrafted from bentwood, likely elm, this measure features original steel reinforcement bands that have stood the test of time. These types of measures were essential tools in general stores and markets, used to accurately portion dry goods.
