For sale, a vintage Burkhardt Weber Gruppe, two metre folding ruler. German made. Fully extends to two metres in length. Excellent addition to your workshop or studio. The company was founded in 1888 by Louis Burkhardt and Johannes Weber and initially limited its range of products to stick guns, sewing machines and simple drills, and later to custom-made circular saws and multi-directional special machines. After around 70% of the buildings on the factory premises were destroyed by the Second World War and the occupation banned the manufacture of machines, production had to be rebuilt. In the 1950s, Burkhardt Weber was one of the most innovative machine tool manufacturers in Germany.
