This Arts and Crafts pitcher has a polished finish that is now regaining its antique patina and is perfect for displaying dried flowers. The base is tin-coated, as it was originally used to hold water. The Arts and Crafts movement began in the British Isles and spread throughout Europe and the British Empire, reacting against poor quality decorative arts and the conditions of their production. This movement thrived in Europe and North America from 1880 to 1920 and opposed factory-made items. William Morris and Philip Webb were notable designers from this era, founding Morris & Co.

Used antique condition. No sign of repair or restoration. Usual dints, dents and signs of use typical of a functional antique copper pitcher of this age. This item has not been tested over time as being watertight so I advise that it is used for display purposes only or for exterior use. Has been recently polished but is regaining antique patina over time. Usual patination, wear and signs of use typical of an antique or vintage item of this age.
