For sale, a large antique, hand carved, Indo Persian wooden fruit bowl or parat. Highly tactile polished hardwood with original patina. Would make a statement table centrepiece. Ideal for use as a fruit bowl. Parats were originally used to prepare the dough used to make chapatis, rotis, naans, parathas and other traditional Indian breads. Add flour, water, a pinch of salt, knead until it forms a ball and leave to rest. This is the basis of the traditional Indian menu.

Authentic original antique or vintage used condition. Some cosmetic and or natural splits to the wood brought on by age and use. No sign of repair or restoration.
