For sale, an antique Arts and Crafts hand beaten copper water pitcher with riveted brass handle.

Beautiful and heavy weight pitcher, ideal for displaying dried flowers. The Arts and Crafts movement was an international trend in the decorative and fine arts that developed earliest and most fully in the British Isles and subsequently spread across the British Empire and to the rest of Europe. Initiated in reaction against the perceived impoverishment of the decorative arts and the conditions in which they were produced, the movement flourished in Europe and North America between about 1880 and 1920. The arts and crafts movement was fundamentally a reaction against factory made goods. William Morris and Philip Webb were two of its most famous designers who established Morris & Co.

Used antique condition. No sign of repair or restoration. Usual dints, dents and signs of use typical of a functional antique copper pitcher of this age. This item has not been tested over time as being watertight so I advise that it is used for display purposes only or for exterior use. Authentic original antique or vintage used condition. Usual patination, wear and signs of use typical of an antique or vintage item of this age. Does not include flowers shown in photograph, for illustrative purposes only.
