For sale, a pair of distressed antique faux bronze on spelter figurines of a horse and handler in the classical manner. Made in England by ASCO, makers mark on base. The Marly Horses are two 1743–1745 Carrara marble sculpted groups by Guillaume Coustou, showing two rearing horses with their groom. They were commissioned by Louis XV of France for the trough at the entrance to the grounds of his château de Marly.

Condition
Authentic original antique or vintage used condition. No sign of repair or restoration. Distressed areas where the faux bronze finish is flaking off due to age.
